Dear Don, Leo, Emma. Rachel and Tim,
Just a line to say thank you for the very enjoyable Ghost Stories for Halloween. Also, I have a few suggestions for new talks.
I am looking forward to the talk on Crime and Poverty in the East End of London. This made me think, as a west Londoner for over 65 years: Why not do a talk on West London? Perhaps this could be combined with a talk on the West End Theatres, possibly calling it West End Theatres and West London Highlights. The highlights that come to mind include the Royal Parks, , Hampton Court, Syon House, Osterley House, Heathrow Airport, Wembley Stadium. Another suggestion would be the Counties of England and their County Towns. As there are about 40 English counties I think Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland would need a separate talk! A further talk might be London, Its Trade and Industry over the centuries. I hope you enjoy thinking about my ideas.
Kind regards,
